Renown Homicide Detective Profiles Milwaukee-Based Crime Novel

Cozen

Established in 1855, the Milwaukee Police Department has had its share of knowledgeable detectives. Only a few are as legendary as Steve Spingola.

High-profile investigations somehow found their way to Spin’s desk.  In the early 1990s, he was part of a team that assembled in the “Dahmer room,” on the fourth-floor of the MPD’s detective bureau, to sort through the grisly murders committed by its namesake.  Spingola also probed the disappearance of Alexis Patterson, a young Milwaukee girl who literally vanished off the face on the earth on May 3, 2002.

In his new print only edition book, Best of the Spingola Files, Volumes I & II, Spingola profiled my first book, “The Cozen Protocol,” a Kindle e-book available at Amazon.com.  Spingola and his publisher have graciously given me permission to reprint this article.
